Step Two
Design & Styling Consultation
This is where the creativity begins — from fabrics and textures to tones that echo old-world artistry.
We’ll talk about:
- Outfit styling and colour tones that complement their personality
- Hair styling ideas (which I provide on the day)
- The mood of your portraits — Whether your vision leans toward classic elegance, soft whimsy, or painterly fine-art.
You don’t need to arrive with a full vision — I’ll guide you through every detail so it feels effortless and fun.

Step Three
Session Day
This is where the magic happens.
My cosy Matamata studio is a warm, welcoming space where children can relax and truly enjoy themselves. I take time to help each child feel confident and special, so the session feels exciting rather than formal.
Each session includes:
- Professional hair styling (tailored to your child’s look)
- Carefully curated outfits and fine-art backdrops
- Gentle direction to bring out authentic, natural expressions
You’ll see their pride and joy shine through — this session becomes more than portraits; it’s a memory of confidence and connection.

Step Four
The Gallery Reveal
“Around 3–4 weeks later, your portraits are presented in a beautifully curated gallery — in person or online.
Choose how to display your artwork — a framed statement piece, a mounted print collection, or a handcrafted fine-art album designed to last generations.

Step Five
Your Artwork Delivery
Once your selections are made, each piece is carefully printed on museum-grade fine-art paper, hand-finished, and packaged to perfection.
Your artwork will be ready to collect or shipped within a few weeks, ready to display or gift.
